Theory course: RYA Day Skipper shorebased
The skipper on board of a ship (pleasure or professional navigation) is in charge of his ship and is fully responsible for the safety of the ship and its crew. After having attended this theoretical course, you will have a good basic knowledge to navigate safely.
Intended for:
Starting skippers (sailing or motor boat) wanting to learn to navigate at sea as well as on the inland waterways.
Condition(s) to participate:
No pre-course experience is required.
Training Scheme:
The RYA (Royal Yachting Association) has the best training system in the world. Therefore, we apply its methodology.

You receive as basic course package:
- RYA Day Skipper manual, in full colour
- 2 RYA exercise charts
- RYA Exercise book
- RYA Training almanac
- a software package on cd-rom with a simulator of electronic navigaiton software

Certification:
After this training, you will not only have a sound basic knowledge in order to navigate safely, but you will also be fully prepared to participate to the RYA DAyskipper shorebased exam , organised by NaviClass .
The RYA certificates (UK) are the most accepted certificates worldwide. NaviClass is authorised to provide these trainings, to hold exams and to deliver RYA certificates if the exam is successfull.
Duration of the training:
Theoretical training: 40 hours + exam
Number of participants:
Minimum 6 and maximum 15.

Soft drinks and coffee are included. You can bring along your own lunch or order one on the spot.
